The proverbial concept ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’ forms the basis of Yayasan Media Hebat’s logo. The stylised Y is inspired by the image of the nip of a pen, which represents the media industry.

The colour Royal Blue symbolises peace and harmony, the attributes for which Malaysia prides itself as a multi-racial country. As a constitutional monarchy state, practising parliamentary democracy, our country’s stability is anchored by the 5 principles of Rukun Negara. Yayasan Media Hebat’s philosophy is in support of these values which infuse life to the nation. Red, which forms the other half of the logo portrays the trait of the Saga seed, the symbol of courage and strength. Saga seed carries a strong Malaysian identity.

Red, in Yayasan Media Hebat’s logo specifically denotes gallantry spirit of defending the nation and its people by the strength and fortitude of the pen. It reflects the determination to promotes the media platform on the principles of fairness, transparency and justice. The convergence of the two colours conveys the celebration of diversity of ideas and opinions while remaining united as one nation, one Malaysia.

Yayasan Media Hebat is a media-based charitable foundation that focuses its activities and programmes on the betterment and uplifting the standard of the media industry in Malaysia.

Registered on 20th August 2015 under the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 [Act 258], the foundation operates under the auspices and supervision of the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department Malaysia.
